Check the smoke channel before selecting a burner
Not all cone incense creates the backflow effect. Review each burner's opening, cone compatibility, stability and cleaning instructions. Residue can accumulate in the channel, while enclosed designs may restrict airflow. A decorative incense burner is not automatically suited to resin charcoal. For a troubleshooting walkthrough, see backflow burner cleaning and airflow. Burn only with ventilation and supervision.
Why does my backflow incense cone go out inside the burner?
A backflow burner requires a cone compatible with its opening and smoke channel. In some covered designs, restricted airflow can stop a cone from continuing to burn. Check the manufacturer's instructions about positioning, ventilation, lid use, and cleaning before trying another cone; not all backflow shapes are interchangeable.
