Affiliate Terms of Service
Welcome to the American Occultist Affiliate Program. By enrolling, you become part of our coven of creators—witches, pagans, and seekers who share their craft and earn rewards in return. Participation in this program signifies your agreement to the terms below.
1. Program Overview
American Occultist’s affiliate program allows approved partners (“Affiliates”) to earn commissions on qualifying sales generated through their unique referral links. Affiliates may promote our products across personal websites, blogs, or social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. All affiliates must abide by these Terms and comply with all applicable laws and platform guidelines.
2. Commissions & Tiers
Base Commission: 5% on all referred sales.
Tier 2 – 7%: Reach $250 in monthly referred revenue.
Tier 3 – 9%: Reach $750 in monthly referred revenue.
Tier 4 – 12%: Reach $1,500 in monthly referred revenue.
Commissions are calculated after discounts, taxes, and shipping are removed from the order total. Tier progress resets at the start of each calendar month.
3. Commission Hold, Payouts & Tax Forms
All commissions are subject to a 45-day hold before payment. This ensures each transaction clears our 30-day return policy and allows for refund or dispute processing. If an order is refunded, canceled, or disputed during the hold period, the associated commission will be voided automatically.
Payout Schedule:
Commissions are paid monthly, within the first 5–10 business days of each month.
Minimum payout threshold: $25 USD. Balances below this amount roll over to the next month.
Payment methods: PayPal (default), ACH/direct deposit for U.S. affiliates (by arrangement), or store credit upon request.
All payments are made in USD, and affiliates are responsible for any PayPal or banking fees.
Tax Documentation & Reporting:
All U.S. affiliates must submit a valid IRS Form W-9 before receiving payouts.
Non-U.S. affiliates may be required to submit Form W-8BEN to certify foreign status.
Any affiliate earning $600 USD or more in a calendar year will be issued an IRS Form 1099-NEC as required by federal law.
Affiliates are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on income earned through the program, regardless of the amount received.
Failure to provide accurate tax information may delay or forfeit payments.
4. Personal Discount for Affiliates
As a member of the American Occultist Affiliate Program, you receive a personal discount on your own purchases placed through your Shopify customer account.
This discount is linked directly to your customer profile and applies automatically when you place an order while logged into your account on AmericanOccultist.store.
It is intended for personal use only and may not be shared, transferred, or used by others.
Orders placed with this personal discount are not eligible for affiliate commissions and will not appear in your referral reports.
Sharing or attempting to distribute personal discounts may result in suspension or removal from the affiliate program.

5. Tracking & Attribution
Sales are tracked through unique affiliate referral links.
Cookie duration: 30 days. Any order placed within this window counts toward your earnings.
Orders placed without your link or after the cookie expires cannot be credited.
Commissions apply only to completed, paid, non-refunded orders.
6. Prohibited Practices
Using your own referral link or coupon code to earn commission.
Creating or distributing unauthorized coupon codes.
Engaging in click-fraud, fake orders, or traffic manipulation.
Promoting with misleading, hateful, or adult content.
Bidding on “American Occultist” trademarks or misspellings in ads.
Violations may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
7. Disclosure & Compliance
Affiliates must follow FTC disclosure guidelines and clearly state that they may earn commissions from referrals.
Example: “As an American Occultist affiliate, I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.”
Failure to disclose affiliate relationships violates U.S. law and may result in removal from the program.
8. Account Management
Affiliates are manually reviewed before approval.
American Occultist may deactivate inactive or non-compliant affiliates at any time.
Affiliates are responsible for maintaining current payment and tax information.
9. Termination & Modification
American Occultist reserves the right to update or terminate this program at any time, with or without notice. If terminated, outstanding commissions that have passed the 45-day hold will still be paid according to the final payout schedule.
10. Limitation of Liability
American Occultist LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program. Affiliates participate voluntarily and may withdraw at any time.
11. Agreement
By registering as an affiliate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. You affirm that you are 18 years or older and legally authorized to participate.
