Scrying Mirrors, Spheres & Reflection Tools

Flat obsidian mirror or round sphere?

A dark mirror is easier to place flat or angled in a controlled light source; a sphere requires a stand rated for its diameter and weight. Obsidian, quartz, amethyst, moonstone and other materials differ in polish, clarity, inclusions and care requirements. Some clear spheres can focus sunlight, so store them away from windows and flammable surfaces.

Is scrying the same as prediction?
